Publishing to the web

Turning part of a realm into a public site anyone can read.

A realm can have a public face: a readable wiki on the open web, at its own address, for players between sessions or for anyone following your setting.

Publishing is deliberate and layered#

Three things must all be true for a page to be publicly visible. Any one left off keeps it private, which is the point — nothing becomes public by accident.

  1. The page is marked public.
  2. The page is published — a separate step from writing it.
  3. The realm itself has public access enabled.

What readers get#

  • Pages served to people with no account and no sign-in.
  • Unlisted pages, reachable by link but kept out of search engines.
  • A view assembled from player-safe material only — DM-only sections never reach it.
  • Search across the published pages.
