How the parts fit together

The modules are not separate apps. Here is what each one gives the others.

Every module in DMRealm is useful on its own, but each one also feeds the others. This page is the map of that — worth reading once, because it explains why the app asks you to link things instead of just letting you type.

What each module contributes

Atlas — worlds, regions, locations, sites

Places for everything else to happen in. An NPC lives somewhere, a faction holds territory, an encounter has a battle map, a quest points at a destination.

Characters — adventurers, party, NPCs

The cast. NPCs carry motivations and secrets; adventurers carry your players' characters, which the party view and encounter builder both read from.

Creatures

Stat blocks. An NPC does not carry its own numbers — it links to a creature, so the same statistics can be reused and adjusted without copying them around.

Factions

Pressure and motive. Factions connect people to places to agendas, and give the world a reason to change while the players are elsewhere.

Calendars

Time. Events sit on your own calendar with your own months, and the campaign tracks where 'now' is.

Quests & adventures

Direction. Quests link the people who want something to the places it happens and the rewards involved, and track progress per campaign.

Encounters

Table-ready fights and scenes, assembled from your creatures, your NPCs, your actual party, and a map.

Journal

Memory. Sessions, notes, and recaps of what actually happened — which is what turns a setting into a campaign.

Items & shops

Things to find and buy. Shops can be handed to players as a link, with stock and prices you control.

Assets

Images — maps, portraits, handouts — attached to whatever they belong to.

Wiki

The presentation layer. It is where the realm becomes something you can hand to players or publish to the web.

Relationships are the connective tissue

Underneath all of it is one simple idea: any two things in your realm can be linked, and the link itself carries meaning. It has a direction, a type, a strength, and it can be marked secret so it is visible to you and not to your players.

That is what lets a page show you its neighbours, what lets the graph draw your world, and what gives the AI something to work from that is specific to you.
