Supported systems
Which rule systems a realm can use today, and what ships with each.

DMRealm ships systems built from openly licensed reference material. That is a deliberate constraint — see Why we do not copy other games.
| System | Built from | Ships with |
|---|---|---|
| dnd5e | SRD 5.1, under Creative Commons Attribution | Equipment, creatures, spells, and character options |
| dnd5e_2024 | SRD 5.2.1, under Creative Commons Attribution | Creatures and character options for the newer edition |
Choosing between them#
Pick the edition your table actually plays. The two are separate systems rather than variants of one, so their stat blocks differ in shape and their catalogs are distinct.
