How systems reach into the modules

Which parts of the app change when a realm's system changes, and which do not.

  1. What never changes

The system registry exists so that per-system logic lives in one place rather than being reimplemented by each module. This is what each module takes from it.

Creatures

Takes the stat block schema, the challenge/XP rules, and the reference creature catalog for the realm's system.

Adventurers

Takes the character sheet shape, the guided builder's options, and level-up rules from the system's character-option catalog.

Items

Takes property, rarity, and pricing conventions, plus the reference equipment catalog.

Encounters

Takes difficulty calculation, so a build is weighed by the rules you actually play.

Exports

Takes the mapping that turns a record into something a virtual tabletop understands.

NPCs

Takes nothing directly — an NPC has no statistics of its own. It inherits a system only through the creature it links to.

What never changes#

Places, factions, quests, journal entries, calendars, the wiki, assets, and every relationship between records are system-neutral. Switching system does not touch them.
