Publish a wiki page

Three switches must all be on before a page is readable on the web.

  6. Unpublish a page

You have written a page and want players, or anyone on the web, to read it. Publishing in DMRealm is deliberate: a page stays private until three separate switches are on. This article walks through all three and how to check the result.

Before you start#

  • You need the editor role or higher in the realm.
  • The page should already exist in the wiki page tree.
  • Any DM-only sections are filtered out automatically; you do not need to remove them first.

Mark the page public#

  1. Open the realm and choose the Wiki lens.
  2. Select the page in the page tree.
  3. Open the page settings and set Visibility to Public. Choose Unlisted instead if the page should be reachable by link but kept out of search engines.
  4. Save.

Publish the page#

  1. With the page selected, choose Publish.
  2. Confirm. The page status changes from Draft to Published.

Publishing a page does not change its visibility. A private page that is published is still visible only to members.

Turn on public access for the realm#

Public pages are served only when the realm itself allows a public face. Open realm settings, find Public access, and turn it on. See Turn on public access for a realm for the full walkthrough.

Check the result#

Open the page's public address in a private browser window, signed out. You should see the player-safe content with the realm's wiki theme. If you see a sign-in prompt instead, one of the three switches is still off.

Unpublish a page#

Select the page and choose Unpublish, or set its visibility back to Private. Either one removes it from the public site immediately.
